Notes

Personal scratchpad. Mostly reminders about self-hosting, Linux and small scripts.

• Debian: keep unattended-upgrades on, check /var/log/apt/history.log after kernel updates.
• nginx: run nginx -t before every reload.
• Backups: test a restore at least once a quarter.
• systemd timers are easier to audit than cron.
